Unaware of the coming end of times, Captain Jed Oduin is posted as the reluctant sheriff of the remote village of Wenn. Despite his misgivings, he grows to care for its people and vows to protect them as best he can. But the seasons have turned. Jed must face invasion—and the echo of a Godchild awakening within him.
